Digging Cisterns that holds no water

my heart is troubled..
my soul is thirsty..
why am i in this desert waste?

with feet full of sore..
with knee too weak to hold..
why am i in this desert waste?

all strength spent..
exhausted with no relief..
why am i in this desert waste?

removing the sand..
clearing the rocks..
where is the water?


O Lord, rebuke me not in your anger.
or chasten me in your wrath..
O Lord, how i long to be in your courts..
to dwell in Your house..
to behold your splendor..
bring me back the joy of your salvation..
Lead me to springs of living water..
take me out of this miry bog
and lead me..
